A teenager will fly into space with Jeff Bezos
The fourth participant in the first space flight of Blue Origin, which belongs to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, has been identified. Together with one of the richest men, 18-year-old student Oliver Daman will fly, according to the organization's website.
Earlier it was reported that in addition to Bezos, his brother Mark Bezos, as well as 82-year-old Wally Funk, will go on space travel on July 20. The woman will become the oldest person who ever went into space. And Oliver Daman, on the contrary, is the youngest.
The teenager took the place of a philanthropist who wished to remain anonymous, who won a charity auction. He donated $ 28 million. However, the man refused the flight due to a busy schedule. Thus, Oliver will become the first person to go into space on the New Shepard for money.
The young man graduated from school last year. He is the son of Somerset Capital Partners CEO Jos Daman, one of Bezos's partners.
We will remind, last week the British billionaire Richard Branson ahead of Jeff Bezos and went into orbit on the Unity spacecraft, which was developed and created by his own company.
