In Belarus, on January 25, a comprehensive check of the combat and mobilization readiness of the armed forces (AF) began, according to the website of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus.

The inspection began by order of Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin and is being conducted under the leadership of Chief of the General Staff Alexander Volfovich, the ministry added.

The main purpose of the measures is to check and increase the level of combat and mobilization readiness. Particular attention will be paid to technology, as well as the operation of support systems.

As part of the check, one of the military units of the 120th Guards Mechanized Brigade has already received the task of replenishing and bringing to combat readiness.

The ministry notes that inspections will take place at almost all training grounds of the Armed Forces and individual sections of the terrain at different times of the day, including on the water, in forests and in settlements. They will end with control exercises and tactical exercises with live fire at various levels.

In September 2020, the Ministry of Defense of the republic announced that it was ready to respond to military threats and aggression against Belarus. Then the Ministry of Defense said that Lithuania and Poland, as well as the EU countries, contributed to the “destructive process” of escalating tensions around the country. The department called Russia and China allies.
