On Saturday, July 27, a military aircraft on a training mission crashed in the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation flight.
Eyewitnesses posted photos and videos on social media showing smoke rising above the forest, as well as traces of a fire at the crash site.
The incident occurred near the Bobry-2 farm in the Serafimovichsky District at around 2:00 p.m.
According to local publications, information about the plane crash was not immediately released. The Serafimovichsky District dispatch service said that they were forbidden to report anything on this matter, and the head of the settlement near which the plane crashed refused to talk to journalists, saying that “even Joe Biden himself could call him.”
The fact of the Su-34 fighter-bomber crash was later confirmed by the aggressor state's Ministry of Defense, naming the preliminary cause of the Russian plane's crash as a technical malfunction. The pilots allegedly ejected and survived, and there was no damage on the ground.
“The plane crashed in an uninhabited area. The flight was carried out without ammunition,” the Russian military department said in a statement.
By the way, the approximate cost of one “sushka” is $36 million.
Recall that in June of this year, a Su-34 fighter-bomber of the Russian Aerospace Forces crashed in the mountains of North Ossetia. The crew of the plane died.
