A strong magnetic storm will hit the Earth on May 2, 2021

A powerful magnetic storm is approaching the Earth, which will cover our planet on Sunday, May 2, when Orthodox Christians celebrate the bright holiday of Easter. According to experts, a G1-class magnetic storm moves at a speed of more than 500 kilometers per second (or 1.8 million kilometers per hour), and it can have such a serious impact that it will even affect satellite technology, reports the Express edition.

It is noted that the Sun has recently experienced such a powerful X-ray flare that a hole has appeared in the equatorial region of its atmosphere, which “erupts” solar particles at a tremendous speed, and the Earth is just in the path of the stream of these particles.

The researchers clarify: powerful solar flares occur on average once every 25 years, and the last of them was recorded in 1989. However, solar flares usually do not threaten our planet, except for voltage fluctuations in power grids, as well as small interruptions in the operation of electrical appliances, mobile devices and space satellites. And with health problems arising from magnetic storms, people have long learned to cope.

We will remind, as the website kp.ru wrote, earlier the therapist Tatyana Romanenko said that on such days it is hardest for people with cardiovascular disorders, unstable blood pressure, obesity or disorders of the nervous system. She gave some tips on how to weather a magnetic storm.
