The bright light reached Russia
On the night of May 1, 2024 at approximately 01:17 Moscow time, residents of several districts of the Belgorod region saw a bright flash in the sky.
The media reports about this.
The point is that this glow is associated with the fall of a meteorite. A flash was visible as it burned.
Later it became known that the flash was also seen in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.
Recall that on the night of May 1, 2024, there was a bright flash in the sky over the Dnepropetrovsk and Kharkov regions.
This is being discussed on social networks.
The flash was without explosions.
Preliminarily this is a meteor or meteorite or some other cosmic phenomenon. But this is not related to military operations.
According to preliminary information, the flash was also visible in the Poltava region, Sumy region, Zaporozhye region and presumably in a number of other regions.
Note that when meteors enter the air, they can create bright flashes of light known as fireballs. These phenomena can be seen over large areas.

At the same time, we note that one of the meteor showers is now underway. The Aquarids are a meteor shower that occurs in late April and early May, peaking on May 6th. It was born from Halley's comet. The radiant is located in the constellation Aquarius. The Aquarids are observed in the northern hemisphere in the morning hours, this is associated with the rising of the constellation Aquarius. The number of meteors that can be seen varies for observers in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, from 10 to 85 respectively. Traditionally, Aquarids continue from April 19 to May 28.
Recall that an asteroid measuring more than 360 meters flew near the Earth , but its distance to our planet was greater – 5.35 million kilometers.
