KP.RU: in St. Petersburg, a park will be named in honor of the actor from “The Irony of Fate” Andrei Myagkov

A park in honor of the star of the film “The Irony of Fate” Andrei Myagkov will appear in St. Petersburg. Reported by KP.RU.
A square on Ivanovskaya Street in the Nevsky District of the Russian city will bear his name. The artist's family lived there after the war.
As told by the St. Petersburg deputy Alexei Tsivilev, this initiative was made by representatives of the municipal district Ivanovsky. He noted that the Toponymic Commission supported the idea of renaming the place.
Andrey Myagkov played the main role of Zhenya Lukashin in the New Year's film directed by Eldar Ryazanov. In the movie Myagkov first appeared in 1965 as a dentist. He also starred in Ryazanov's films such as Office Romance, Garage and Cruel Romance.
