Russian Irina Osipova, who openly supports the war against Ukraine and the Putin regime, received the position of “parliamentary assistant” in the Senate ofItaly.

The Italian newspaper Il Fatto Quotidiano writes about this.

According to media reports, Osipova will be responsible for databases, classification and archiving of correspondence in the Upper House of the Italian Parliament, and her responsibilities will also include administrative and accounting functions. She will have access to the file on all important issues.

According to the head of the Senate commission, Paola Binetti, Irina Osipova got the job “solely thanks to her personal abilities.” It is noted that during the exams Osipova was not asked about her political views, but the exam procedure does not provide for this.

When asked by journalists about the possibility of employment in the Senate of people who support the war in Ukraine, Binetti replied that “the government the official will not be allowed to spread propaganda.”

It is known that Irina Osipova was born in Moscow in 1988 and has dual citizenship – Russian and Italian. Her father Oleg Osipov is the former head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Italy and the first head of the Russia House in Rome.

It is known that Osipova went to protests after the application of sanctions to Russia due to the annexation of Crimea in 2014 year.

The Italians have already created a petition so that the Russian woman Irina Osipova is not allowed to work in the Italian Senate. However, the petition has not yet collected the required number of votes.

Recall that ex-French President Nicolas Sarkozy acquitted Putin of the war and said what Ukraine should agree to for the sake of “peace.”
