Saakashvili says the “saboteurs” entered with “very bad intentions.”
Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili said during his trial for embezzlement of budget funds that a sabotage group of Russians had entered the country.
He said this during an online broadcast, writes Echo of the Caucasus.
According to him, in order to be in “good shape,” Georgia needs to be very careful about Russians arriving in the country.
“I want to create a “civil defense” hotline where people can call and report anti-Georgian manifestations. According to my information, a sabotage group has arrived, which has set the task of seizing power here in conditions of unrest and destabilization. Therefore, we need to monitor every suspicious movement, behind each group with guys of athletic build. There are more than one hundred thousand such people. I repeat, a sabotage group of Russians penetrated into the territory of Georgia,” Mikheil Saakashvili emphasized.
He also added that the “saboteurs” entered with “very bad intentions.” They are armed and have a supervisor from the 1st Main Directorate of the Russian Army.
“In this situation, more than ever, we need coordination with our partners, civil society and our people,” Saakashvili emphasized.
Interestingly, judge Badri Kochlamazishvili interrupted the video call, which displeased Saakashvili and his lawyers. He stated that Saakashvili was not invited to court as a “political observer.”
Let us recall that the first wife of ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili, Sandra Roelofs, visited him in the hospital where the politician is in custody.
