What motives for the crime are still unknown.

In the Bavarian town of Murnau (Germany), a Russian attacked two Ukrainians and stabbed them to death. A 36-year-old man died from severe stab wounds at the scene, and a 23-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he also later died.

DW reports this.

As law enforcement officers established, he is a citizen of the Russian Federation and lived near the scene of the murder. Whether the attacker knew the victims who lived in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen area is still unknown. The motive for the crime is also unknown.

The detainee is under investigation on suspicion of double murder. Prosecutors have issued a warrant for his arrest. The man is due to appear before an investigating judge in district court on April 28.

“We are still at the beginning of the investigation. The exact course of events, background and motives are now the subject of a criminal investigation,” regional police department spokesman Daniel Katz told reporters.

Recall that the Russians in Germany killed a mother and daughter and stole their baby.
