In the US, a court found Russian blogger Kristina Puzyreva guilty of violating sanctions against Russian Federation and the supply of components for missiles. The blogger faces imprisonment.

In federal court in Brooklyn Puzyreva pleaded guilty to conspiracy to launder money “for her role in a multimillion-dollar scheme to ship components used in unnamed aircraft, guided missile systems and other weapons to sanctioned entities in Russia.”

According to the DOJ, components shipped in violation of export control and sanctions laws , were subsequently discovered on Russian weapons platforms and in electronic intelligence equipment in Ukraine.

When the court sentences the blogger, she will face up to 20 years in prison.

According to US law enforcement, Puzyreva and other defendants in the case likely purchased and shipped millions of dollars worth of US-made electronics in support of the Kremlin to its ongoing attacks in Ukraine.

The money laundering conspiracy was directly related to 298 supplies of restricted technologies to the Russian Federation in the amount of $7 million.

The blogger, along with her husband Nikolai Goltsev, also accused in the case, repeatedly came from Canada to meet with the defendant Salimjon Nasriddinov in Brooklyn. During these trips, Puzyreva used numerous bank accounts to conduct financial transactions as part of her scheme.

The American government confiscated 20 thousand dollars. cash from the New York hotel room where the defendant was arrested. In total, approximately $1.68 million related to this export scheme was seized.

Recall that The Times reported that British suppliers exported critical components, including semiconductors and drones, worth more than $100 million to Russia in the first 10 months of 2023.
