A rocket will be launched from Baikonur

The state commission at the Baikonur cosmodrome has authorized the refueling and launch of the Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle. It carries 34 communication spacecraft from the British company OneWeb, which is implementing a project for global Internet coverage, which is planned to be implemented by launching 900 satellites into orbit.

According to a report on the Roscosmos Telegram channel, this will be the 15th launch of a Russian space rocket in 2021. A total of 29 are planned.

It is noted that the start of the “Union” will take place on Tuesday, September 14, at 21:07 Moscow time. Approximately nine minutes after the start, the head part – the upper stage and satellites – will separate from the third stage. Then “Fregat” will launch the vehicles into the target orbit. The satellites will be separated in several stages. Removal will take about three and a half hours.

As the site kp.ru previously wrote, on September 9, the Soyuz-2.1v carrier rocket successfully launched from the Plesetsk cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk region, which by this hour had placed a military satellite for the Russian Ministry of Defense into a given orbit.
