The rector of the Church of the Holy Great Martyr George the Victorious in the city of Baikonur, Father Sergiy (Bychkov), consecrated the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle, which will launch the Soyuz MS-19 spacecraft into orbit with a film crew on board, TASS reports.
Cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov, actress Yulia Peresild and director Klim Shipenko will go to the ISS on the Soyuz MS-19 spacecraft. They will take part in the filming of the first feature film in space. The launch of the launch vehicle is scheduled for October 5.
The actress and director will return on board the Soyuz MS-18 with cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky, who has been on the ISS since spring.
Earlier it was reported that the Soyuz-2.1a rocket with the Soyuz MS-19 spacecraft, in which actress Yulia Peresild and director Klim Shipenko will go to the ISS on October 5, were installed on the launch pad of the Baikonur cosmodrome.
