A resident of Spain found the snowfall to be fake

by alex

A resident of Spain considered the snowfall to be fake: she recorded a video where she tried to prove the artificial origin of the precipitation. The local newspaper Semana writes about it.

On the recording, a certain Spanish woman brought a lighter fire to a handful of snow and showed that it turns black, but does not melt. The experimenter stated that the mass smelled like burnt plastic. In her opinion, this indicates that all the snow that fell with the Philomena storm is not real. “This stuff they sent us is pure plastic. We are deceived in everything, ”the author of the video said.

It is noted that the Spaniards are still actively discussing the video published a few days ago. Some joke that a woman should deny the reality of fire, not snow.

The video was commented by biologist Alvaro Bayon: he explained that due to impurities that are released in a lighter when butane or gasoline burns, soot is formed. It settles on the substance if a lighter is brought too close to it, which creates the “effect of burnt plastic”.

The Philomena storm began in Spain on January 9th. As a result, the country experiences heavy snowfalls, rains, and wind gusts. Four people became victims of bad weather.
