Memorial in honor of the teacher Samuel Pati in France
In Syrian Raqqa, a rally was held in support of the beheading teacher in France, 18-year-old Chechen Abdulakh Anzorov. It is reported by ABC News.
It is noted that in Raqqa, which was previously the stronghold of the Islamic State organization banned in Russia, protesters honored Anzorov as a hero. It is known that most of Raqqa is controlled by the Kurdish “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF), but there are still some territories occupied by militants.
In other Muslim countries, notably Afghanistan and Iran, protesters dissatisfied with the policies of Paris shouted “Death to France!” and burned the flags of this country.
The criticism of French President Emmanuel Macron from Muslim leaders is related to his statements after the murder of French teacher Samuel Pati in the suburbs of Paris. He was watched by the college, killed and beheaded by 18-year-old Chechen Abdulakh Anzorov. The offender also posted photos and videos from the crime scene on the social network. He was later shot by police. It was clarified that the reason for the murder was the teacher's demonstration of cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad – Pati talked about freedom of speech in the lesson. Macron, commenting on the crime, said that Islam was in crisis and promised to fight the radicals.
