“I was sitting outside, just having breakfast. I heard three loud crashes and I thought, “Oh, what was that?” The police showed up, then < /strong>I ran in. Two minutes later, there were shots again. I ran into the basements. I just heard a lot of shots,” said one of the students of the educational institution.

Professor Brett Johnsen said he was in Beam Hall when he heard a noise during class. He didn't think it sounded like a gunshot, so the professor continued teaching.

“Then the alarm went off. I had never heard a signal like that before, it didn't sound like a fire alarm. When we started leaving the classroom, everything became real,” Johnsen said.

As he opened the door to let the students out, the professor's expression changed to one of panic and he called for the students to go back, lock the door and lie down on the ground. The teacher checked the situation outside again after 30 seconds, and then told the students to “run as quickly as possible.”
