According to information from the Ministry of Health of Armenia, 290 victims with burns of varying severity were admitted to hospitals due to the explosion. Seven victims died in hospital. Dozens of people injured by the explosion are still in critical condition. 13 unidentified bodies were handed over to the Bureau of Forensic Sciences.

“Many people are considered missing, they suffered burns as a result of the explosion and more information about them needs to be verified,” the so-called ” Ministry of Health of Karabakh.

As the State Emergency Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan reports, an explosion occurred on a nearby section of the Stepanakert-Askeran highway, at a gasoline warehouse. Many of the wounded who received burns were taken to medical facilities.

According to local media reports, a tank previously exploded at a gas station, from which people traveling to Armenia refueled auto. The gas station is located outside the city.

The day before, the so-called “authorities” of Karabakh announced that 5 gas stations would supply fuel free of charge to those wishing to travel to Armenia. Amid the evacuation to Armenia, there are huge queues at gas stations.
