In Australia, a pensioner sought medical help after batteries exploded inside him manhood.
The horrific incident was reported by Brendan Akihiko Yanada of Western Health Urology, Footscray, Victoria, according to the Daily Star.
The medical team emphasized that foreign bodies in the urethra are a urological emergency requiring immediate action. They noted that men often insert objects for pleasure, such as electrical cords, cutlery, metal screws and, in this case, batteries.

He admitted that he regularly inserted foreign objects for sexual pleasure, and had previously had no problems removing them. This time the batteries moved further down the urethra of the penis due to repeated unsuccessful attempts to remove them on their own.
The doctors were shocked to discover that the batteries had caused a black, tarry hue to appear inside his genitals due to the corrosive discharge and tissue erosion.
Despite attempts to remove the batteries, the patient could not stand the procedure and refused it. He was given general anesthesia for removal.
After the batteries were removed, doctors discovered large burns to the front of his urethra. He was sent home three days after surgery, but returned 10 days later with increased swelling and discharge from the penis.
Surgeons made an incision on his penis, from which “a large amount of pus” leaked out. They then found an 8cm segment of dead tissue in his urethra and nearby area. According to the report, most of the internal organs of his penis were removed to stop the spread of dead tissue, and doctors decided not to repair his severely burned penis.
