In Poland, there is an increase in the number of patients with coronavirus.
More than a thousand Poles are recorded almost daily cases of coronavirus.
This was stated by Polish Health Minister Adam Nedzielski.
“Now, this week, we have a situation where most days the number of reported cases This number of studies is about 6000. And the increase that we are seeing from week to week has led to the fact that the R indicator, that is, the prevalence rate of the coronavirus, has risen to a level close to 1.5, which is one of the highest indicators that we have seen during the pandemic,” he said.
According to the Director of Vaccines of the European Medicines Agency With the help of Marco Cavaleri, a new subspecies of Omicron “BA.5” has spread to many countries around the world, and Europe is facing a new wave of COVID-19. He added that the increase in the incidence is due to the BA.4 and BA.5 viruses.
According to current forecasts, these subspecies will become dominant in all European countries and, possibly, will replace all other strains by the end of July.

Dr Michael Ryan, WHO's executive director of emergencies, said the wave now sweeping across Europe could be worse than it looks. He noted that insufficient testing may hide the true spread of the pandemic.
He added that many European countries are seeing an increase in the number of hospitalizations. At the same time, we are not talking about the treatment of patients in intensive care units, so the vaccines still work very well.
Recall that Ukraine may introduce the fourth dose of the coronavirus vaccine.< /p> Advertising
