The Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group sent a letter to the OSCE coordinator with a proposal to hold an extraordinary meeting today, on December 9, to establish a new truce in Donbass.
This was stated by the first deputy head of the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG, Andriy Kostin.
– I have sent a letter to the OSCE coordinator in the TCG with a revised draft statement of the Trilateral Contact Group on mechanisms to ensure the unconditional implementation of measures on the strengthening of the ceasefire of July 22, 2020, developed taking into account the discussions of its key elements held during yesterday's TCG meeting, the representative of the Ukrainian delegation clarified.
According to the JFO headquarters, over the past day, On December 8, six violations of the ceasefire by Russian mercenaries were recorded in the Donbas. In general, the situation is under control.
Fortunately, there are no casualties among the military personnel of the Joint Forces as a result of shelling.
Ukrainian defenders returned fire and forced the enemy to stop shelling.
Since the beginning of the day, on December 9, no violations of the ceasefire by the Russian occupation forces have been recorded.
