Security experts at ThreatFabric have warned Android users about the new Vulture virus that steals personal data.
According to Izvestia, with the help of malware, attackers gain access to any personal data of users, including logins and passwords from online applications of banks. The virus allows you to take screenshots of the smartphone screen, as well as record any user actions.
Vulture is distributed through apps on Google Play. So far, experts have found only two applications. However, the virus managed to hack up to eight thousand devices.
Kaspersky Lab reported that it has not yet detected a new virus in Russia. The attackers are likely focusing more on foreign users.
Earlier in Russia there was a new way of fraud with bank cards. This time, the money is not stolen, but rather transferred to the victim, but it is not so easy to return it back. And the longer the funds are with a person, the higher the percentage will have to be paid for their use. Recently, a resident of Yekaterinburg fell into a similar trap. Microfinance organization (MFO) “Be Bogaty” transferred 15 thousand rubles to his card. The man assures that he did not draw up a loan and did not sign any documents, nevertheless, the money turned out to be with him.
