Near Los Angeles, a sculpture of the NBA legend was installed in CalabasasKobe Bryant and her daughtersGianna Bryant. The pedestal was installed at the site of the helicopter crash in which Kobi and Gianna died with seven people on board two years ago.
A bronze statue weighing 73 kg depicts a father and daughter in a basketball uniform. They look at each other with loving eyes, and Gianna holds Kobi’s hand on her shoulder.
The names of all nine victims of the accident on January 26, 2020 are engraved on the steel pedestal of the statue. It also has the inscription of Bryant’s famous quote:Heroes come and go, but legends are eternal.
The author of the monument was the sculptor Dan Madina.
