A road accident involving Ukrainians occurred in Poland
Polish police reported a serious accident that occurred on the night of June 24 on the S17 expressway near the village of Moszczanka (Lublin Voivodeship). At around 03:00 local time, a Volkswagen minibus driven by a 22-year-old Ukrainian citizen crashed into a Renault truck, also driven by a Ukrainian, a 61-year-old man.
It turned out that all participants in the accident were Ukrainians.
There were eight passengers in the minibus, all of them Ukrainian citizens. As a result of the collision , four of them were injured . One of the injured was taken to the hospital by an emergency medical helicopter.
Preliminary findings by investigators indicate that the 22-year-old Ukrainian citizen, who was driving a minibus in the direction of Warsaw, did not adjust his speed to the road conditions, as a result of which he crashed into the rear of the truck, the statement said.
The road towards Warsaw was closed for several hours. According to the police, both drivers were sober. Law enforcement officers detained the young driver of the Volkswagen.
