One dead and several wounded are reported.
On the night of March 14 in the Magadan region Russia Mi-8 helicopter crashed.
This was announced by the Governor of the Magadan Region Sergey Nosov on Telegram.
“A rescue group and doctors were sent to the scene of an emergency with a helicopter from Dalnerechensky Avia in the North Evensky District. They flew on emergency flights of Kolyma Aviation to help and evacuate the victims,” he wrote.
Telegram channel Mash reported that shift workers were flying the Mi-8. One death and several injuries are reported.
“The ship crashed in the North Evensky region. The helicopter's capacity is 22 people,” the message says.
Mi-8 pilots reported to dispatchers about an engine failure 13 kilometers into the flight.
“The helicopter was flying along the route Sopka Kvartsova – Omsukchan. The company that transported the shift workers was Dalnerechensk Avia,” the message says.
Let us recall that on March 12, a military transport plane Il-76 crashed in the Ivanovo region of the Russian Federation. The Russians claim that the main version of the crash is a technical malfunction.
As of March 13, 16 deaths were reported. The mayor of Orenburg confirmed that 5 pilots from his region were killed on this plane.
