The unmanned vessel is believed to have arrived from the north of the Black Sea.
On Thursday, July 25, waves washed up on the Turkish coast near Istanbul a naval drone bearing the emblem of a famous volunteer gathering.
Turkish publication TRT Haber reported that the drone had not been identified.
At the same time, on its front side, the yellow-green emblem of the “Eye for an Eye” volunteer collection, belonging to the Ukrainian gas station chain Okko and the “Come Back Alive” foundation, is clearly visible.
Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene, fenced off the place of discovery and stopped outsiders from accessing it.
“The unmanned sea ship, 3 meters long and 1 meter wide, is believed to have arrived from the north of the Black Sea,” local authorities said in a statement.
Turkish authorities have not confirmed the presence of explosives on the drone and the possibility of its combat use.
At the same time, local prosecutors are investigating the possible use of the vehicle to smuggle immigrants.
