A man with a Molotov cocktail tried to break into Macron's residence

A man with an impromptu “Molotov cocktail” tried to enter the residence of the President of France: the intruder was holding a bottle with a piece of cloth sticking out of it. He was noticed when he climbed over the fence of the Elysee Palace, according to the newspaper Le Figaro, citing law enforcement sources in Paris.

According to the interlocutors of the publication, together with the violator, the guards detained two more people who were filming what was happening on video. All three were taken into custody, the police suspect them of “attempted violence with the use of weapons.”

The newspaper notes that a preliminary analysis of the liquid from the bottle showed that it is not dangerous. The offender himself told the police that he was an artist. According to the man, he did not want to harm anyone. True, the motives for this “action” are not yet clear. Why the “artist” tried to break into the territory of the Elysee Palace with a burning bottle, investigators find out.
