On Thursday, November 23, in a busy part of the center of the Irish capital, Dublin, an unknown man with a large knife attacked a group of people near one of the schools serving young children.

This is reported by The Isrish Times.

The incident occurred in broad daylight as the children were leaving school. An unknown man, holding a large knife up to 25 centimeters long in his hand, rushed at a group of people, including children. As a result of the attack, a man, woman and three children were injured.

Passers-by intervened in the situation and were able to disarm the man, throw him to the ground and detain him until law enforcement arrived.

The motive for the attack has not yet been established, but the police noted that they are working on a “definite version.”

Dublin Mayor Daithi de Roste expressed his gratitude to the brave members of the public who helped at the scene, the emergency services who responded within minutes and the hospital staff caring for the victims.

It is known that one girl aged 5 and a 30-year-old woman were seriously injured. A 50-year-old man and a boy and girl aged 5 and 6 suffered minor injuries.

Let us remind you that earlier in the French city of Arrasy an unknown person attacked a school with a knife and killed a teacher. Several more people were injured.
