A forest fire broke out in the Amazon Bay in the Mugla region near Turkish Marmaris on June 21. 14 aircraft and 20 helicopters are involved in fighting the fire.

Due to the fire, residential buildings near the area were evacuated and sabotage is considered among the causes of the fire.

In a short time, under the influence of the wind, the fire spread over a wide area, the flame quickly spread towards Otluk Bay and covered an area of ​​more than 200 hectares.

< p>1494 rescuers, 363 units of general use equipment and 39 construction vehicles were involved in the fire extinguishing.

Following the developments, the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Vahit Kirishi and the Minister of the Interior Suleyman Soylu arrived in the region to inspect the work on fire.

“We need to be more careful and careful. At the moment, the distance to settlements is 3.5-4 kilometers“, Kirishi said.

“Due to strong winds, it was difficult to deal with the fire. Now all the institutions are on alert. We hope that we can bring it under control when the wind eases. The publication noted that the fire broke out simultaneously at three different points, which increases the likelihood of sabotage.
