The Russian company Promobot has created a humanoid robot with movable arms. Thanks to this, he can gesture and interact with a person. The robot was also covered in hyper-realistic skin.
The new robot is called Robo-C. His movable arms are capable of moving in 12 degrees of freedom. Eight motors are installed in each hand. The robot can carry a load weighing up to two kilograms, take objects in its hand, indicate the direction, shake the hand of the interlocutor and even send air kisses.
Scripts are handed over to commands. The program sets three modes: basic gestures when communicating, movements on command from the outside and on the command of a development engineer.
In the future, Robo-C will be taught to write in various languages and draw.
