In Chernivtsi, on the territory of the Rozhdestvensky town on Cathedral Square, a minor fire occurred. The incident took place around 6:00 am on Sunday, December 26th.
The head of the press service of the State Emergencies Service in the Chernivtsi region, Sergei Babchuk, said that the fire did not occur in a wooden house, but next to it.
A company of young girls stood near the house. As a result of the incident, one of them's outerwear caught fire. An ambulance arrived at the scene of the incident and hospitalized the victim. Subsequently, it became known that the 17-year-old girl received burns to her hand and face.
The State Emergency Service added that all the causes and circumstances of the incident are now being established.
December 19 on the main square of the city in Mariupol a Christmas decorated tree collapsed. The tree could not withstand the onslaught of the wind and broke in half.
After the incident, rescuers arrived at the scene. Residents and guests of the city were forbidden to approach the broken structure. Soon it became known that the frame of the Christmas tree would be strengthened.
