A British woman told how a dog saved her from being killed by a killer.

< p>One night, Tracey Devonshire was awakened by her Staffordshire bull terrier named Princess and the woman found her old friend Trefor Jones hovering over her.
He admitted that Tracey's ex-boyfriend Mukhtar Lail had offered to pay him £15,000, so that he would kill her by injecting Tracy with a lethal dose of heroin.
Tracey said: “Mukhtar, or Mac as I called him, thought I was still using the drugs he got me into when we were together two decades ago. He imagined I would live in squalor. But Trefor found me living in an immaculate apartment. After Princess woke me up, Trefor couldn't follow through. He said I wasn't a bad person at all. Mac didn't take into account that I had changed my life,” she shared.
Last week, Mukhtar Lail was sentenced to life in prison and Jones was sentenced to eight years in prison for the deadly conspiracy. Now Tracey has spoken out for the first time.
The 45-year-old from Hitchin, Hertfordshire, began a relationship with Leil in the early 2000s. She fell head over heels in love with Mac, a drug dealer who is now 53.
She said, 'I loved Mac so much,'” Tracy recalled. “That was one of the reasons I turned a blind eye and never reported him when he became violent and controlling. I didn't feel like I had a choice. Mac was a dealer and he made me shoplift to pay for drugs, on which I quickly became dependent on him.”
It was only after seven years of marriage that she and Mac finally broke off their relationship.
But everything turned sour after she ran into him on the street in 2021 and screamed at him furiously as he stood with his young daughter.
She said, “Perhaps I shouldn't have said anything. Mac had his little girl with him, she was about four or five years old. But that monster made my life hell for years.”
Tracy nothing more I didn’t think about it, but it clearly angered Leila, because that’s when he ordered her to be killed. A few days later, an old friend showed up on her doorstep, and she offered him a place to stay for the night.
One night she woke up from the howl of her pet and discovered that Trefor is standing above her.
“When Trefor told me he was here to kill me, I thought I was hearing different things. He went on to say that Mac wanted me dead and that he had offered him £15,000 to kill me. I couldn't to believe that after our stupid showdown on the street, Mac decided that I deserved to die. Trefor was confused. He said that I was a wonderful housewife and he could not do it. He was a hitman hired to kill me, but in fact “I thanked Trefor for telling me. I was grateful. If it weren't for him, I would be dead,” the woman said. “I was so relieved. My story sounds like something out of a Hollywood movie, but knowing that people believed me means so much. Princess saved my life that night. I have no doubt that she was the reason I survived my evil ex's conspiracy with the aim of killing me at a cost of £15,000.”
Recall that the bride ran away from the wedding in tears because of her mother’s humiliation. A loved one ruined her holiday.
