A 28-year-old Russian pilot was shot five times while less than 500 feet from the local police station.

Police responded within minutes of the man's murder, according to the report. But by that time Kuzminov was most likely already dead, witnesses told the publication.

“When I called the emergency service, I already knew that the man was dead,” said the manager of the condominium where Kuzminov lived.

Journalists write that the medic discovered five small-caliber shots, one of which hit the heart, which indicates the precision with which the criminal killed Kuzminov.

The suspect has not yet been identified, but an official leading the investigation said investigators believe the Kremlin was involved in the pilot's killing.

Recall, in February, in one of the areas of the resort municipality of Villajoyosa in the Spanish province of Alicante, 28-year-old Russian pilot Maxim Kuzminov, known for his cooperation, was killed with power steering.

According to media reports, the criminal or criminals fled in a white Hyundai car. Kuzminov parked this car in place No. 29, and subsequently his body was driven over it.

Kuzminov’s car was burned, apparently to eliminate traces.

At the beginning of August 2023, the Russian combat helicopter Mi-8 AMTSH, tail number 62, flew into the territory of Ukraine from the Kursk region and landed at one of the airports in the Kharkov region.

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that the capture of the Russian Mi-8 was a unique special operation codenamed “Tit”, which lasted more than six months.

Helicopter pilot Maxim Kuzminov cooperated with the main control center and, during a flight between two Russian air bases, changed course and landed in the Kharkov region.

According to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Danilov, the pilot was offered to remain on the territory of Ukraine, but he decided to leave for Spain. Ukrainian intelligence warned the Russian that his life was in danger.

Who is Maxim Kuzminov

28-year-old Maxim Kuzminov was the commander of the Mi-8 helicopter. Served in the 319th separate helicopter regiment of the Russian Army Aviation – military unit 13984 with a permanent deployment point at the Chernigovka airfield in the Primorsky Territory.
