Another victim of the bad weather that hit the capital and the Moscow region last Friday, April 23, was a child. It all happened in the evening in the city of Mytishchi, Moscow Region, on Cosmonauts Avenue. A nine-year-old schoolgirl with her mother crossed the road along pedestrian crossings. At that moment, a strong gust of wind tore out the billboard installed on the sidewalk. The structure collapsed right on the child. The eyewitnesses themselves tried to pull the girl out from under the shield, but failed: they called the Emergencies Ministry.
“After going to the local hospital, the child was hospitalized, the doctors diagnosed the girl with a closed craniocerebral injury,” Olga Vradiy, senior assistant to the head of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Moscow region, told KP.
According to doctors, nothing threatens the child's life. In the meantime, investigators are now identifying the owner of the advertising contract. It is known that the shield was fixed to a pillar.
– On this fact, a check is being carried out. Based on its results, a procedural decision will be made, – added in the Moscow Region SK.
