After the attack, the child was conscious and called his mother.
In Poland, a 12-year-old girl from Ukraine was attacked: an unknown person wounded her with a knife and fled. The man has not yet been detained.
The Polish publication rzeszow.naszemiasto.pl writes about this.
According to Polish journalists who spoke with the family's neighbors, the attack took place near a kindergarten and a dental clinic in Rzeszow. The child was allegedly attacked from behind by a “strong man about 180 cm tall.” According to neighbors, the attacker allegedly struck the child in the neck and face.
The victim’s family is originally from Ukraine, but has been living in Poland for a long time. The child was taken to the Clinical Regional Hospital No. 2 in Rzeszow.
“The child is recovering from surgery. He is in a medically induced coma in the intensive care unit, and today he should be taken out of it,” hospital spokesman Tomasz Warhol told local reporters.
Prosecutor Krzysztof Ciechanowski, spokesman for the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Rzeszow, said that the attack on a 12-year-old girl by an unknown man occurred when the child was walking to the store. The criminal attacked the girl with a sharp object, probably a knife.
“The girl walked on her own. We did not identify any eyewitnesses to the incident. First aid was provided to her by a passer-by who arrived at the scene after the incident. The girl was conscious enough to get the phone on her own and call her mother asking for help,” said Krzysztof Ciechanowski.
An attacker involved in the crime is being sought in Poland. The reasons for the attack remain unknown.
Let us remind you that in Poland, in Lublin, a 50-year-old Ukrainian woman was found dead, who had left the hospital the day before and mysteriously disappeared.
