85 Ukrainian children have already become victims of Russia's armed aggression – Prosecutor General's Office

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine, since February 24, as a result of the aggression of the Russian Federation, 85 Ukrainian children have already died. Nearly 100 more were injured.

As the Office of the Prosecutor General informed, as a result of the attacks of Putin's troops, the most children suffered in seven regions of Ukraine.

– As a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, as of the morning of March 13, 85 children and about 100 wounded have already died in Ukraine. Most of the victims were in Kiev, Kharkov, Donetsk, Sumy, Kherson, Nikolaev and Zhytomyr regions, the report says.

The department clarified that the enemy continues cynical shelling of the civilian population, as a result of which children die .

So, on March 11, while trying to evacuate, the Russian invaders shot down a civilian car, as a result of which the boy Dmitry, a player of the football team of the Youth Sports School Atlet, died.

On the same evening, near the village of Gusarovka (Kharkiv region), Putin's troops shot at a car at a checkpoint. A woman and a child were killed.

And on March 12, on the road in Gusarovka (Kharkiv region), a family with a 3-year-old child died due to shelling of a private car.

The enemy also continues to destroy civilian infrastructure. In particular, the buildings of 369 educational institutions were damaged due to Russian bombing and shelling (57 of them were completely destroyed).

Most of the damage was done to educational institutions in the Donetsk region (119), Mykolaiv (30), Sumy (28), Kiev (28) and Kherson (21) regions. 17 educational institutions were destroyed in Kyiv.

– That is, in fact, about 22 educational institutions are destroyed and damaged every day. Only on March 12, 2022, 11 educational institutions in the Mykolaiv region were damaged. In addition, 11 medical institutions and 3 rehabilitation centers were shelled, including for disabled children, the Office of the Prosecutor General said.

The department clarified that the figures will still be clarified, since due to active hostilities it is often not possible to inspect the places of destruction.
