It is noted that the artifact was found in the central province of Henan in the area of the village of Yanshao, where excavations are ongoing.

Chinese scientists, together with foreign experts, found out that the drink was made by fermenting cereals. At the same time, it is not specified in what form and state the substance was preserved after it lay under

earth for so long.

According to the representative of the team of archaeologists who made the discovery, one can safely say that winemaking has been successfully developing since ancient times on the territory of this region, which is considered the cradle of Chinese civilization.

Earlier, archaeologists conducted research in southern China and discovered the earliest known artifacts associated with drinking beer. We are talking about the remains of ceramic pots nine thousand years old.

And at the beginning of the year in the United States, archaeologists during field work in South Carolina discovered the remains of an abandoned “factory” for the production of moonshine. According to experts, it was installed in the 1920s and most likely belonged to the famous gangster Al Capone.
