Reuters writes about this with reference to a message from the Taiwanese Ministry of Defense published on Thursday, September 14.
“For “In the last 24 hours, 40 Chinese Air Force aircraft have been detected entering the island's air defense zone, mainly flying to southern Taiwan and the Bashi Channel,” the statement said.
According to map provided by the defense department, at least four planes also crossed the center line of the Taiwan Strait northwest of the island.
What was the purpose of the Chinese planes' flight – to the Ministry of Defense Taiwan was not disclosed.
As previously reported, American President Joe Biden doubts that China will take over Taiwan amid economic problems.
