Benjamin Sesko scored twice
Defending champion Red Bull Salzburg is in the second round of the ÖFB Cup. The Bulls beat regional league team Hertha Wels 4-1.
For one half the Upper Austrians were allowed to dream of the cup sensation, at the break it was 1: 1 in Wels. But then the jokers Benjamin Sesko (in a double pack) and Luka Sucic struck. They shot Salzburg 4-1 into the next round.
The Bulls took the lead in Wels, as Bernardo headed in the 14th minute after a corner to make it 1-0. After the opening goal, the bulls struggled against the clever regional league kickers. Wels even managed to equalize after half an hour through Florian Maier.
Coach Matthias Jaissle's speech during the break should have paid off, and the German also took the win with Joker Benjamin Sesko. The brawny striker made it 3-1 within four minutes (52nd, 56th) and set the course for promotion.
The Bulls still had a chance of a bigger win, Luka Sucic actually increased to 4: 1 in the last minute.
