36 US states and the District of Columbia are against the Alphabet holding, the owner of Google.
37 US attorneys general supported a lawsuit against Google Alphabet Inc., accusing the company of violating antitrust laws by the Play Store for Android smartphones.
The investigation into suspected violations has been conducted in the United States since September 2019. Plaintiffs argue that the Google Store, which accounts for 90% of downloaded Android apps, is setting huge margins through illegal methods. These include contracts with smartphone manufacturers and telecom operators, additional payments to developers for refusing to cooperate with competing stores, and restrictive contracts for developers of applications sold in the Play Store. There is also information about secret plans to negotiate with Samsung so that its store does not compete with the Google Store.

Prosecutors are demanding compensation for users, applying sanctions to the company, stopping payments to application creators for refusing from competitive sites and obliging Alphabet to promote competitors for 20 years.
Google argues that, unlike the App Store, the Play Store is competitive and open to everyone, and that the lawsuit is not aimed at supporting small app makers, but at promoting a small group of large companies.
