Pavard
Bayern cannot be stopped even if they are outnumbered. At the start of the 6th round of the Bundesliga, the champions cleared Greuther Fürth with 3: 1.
Thomas Müller (10th), Joshua Kimmich (31st) and an own goal by Sebastian Griesbeck fixed the clear victory of Julian Nagelsmann's team. Benjamin Pavard flew in the 48th minute after a tough tackle with red from the field. In the majority, Cedric Itten (87th) scored the honorary goal from Fürth.
ÖFB legionnaire Marcel Sabitzer had again not made it into the Bayern starting lineup, came on in the 61st minute for Leroy Sane to consolidate the Munich midfield when they were outnumbered.
With the fifth win of the season, the Munich team consolidated their superior lead in the standings, with a game more than three points and 14 goals ahead of Wolfsburg. Fürth is three points missing from the saving bank.
Bayern hadn't let anything go wrong at Sportpark Ronhof, Leon Goretzka just missed the Fürth goal in the fourth minute, Müller did better in the tenth minute, standing behind the defense after a slightly deflected pass from Alphonso Davies 1-0 (10th).
As a result, the Fürth people locked their own goal, making life difficult for Bayern. Therefore, Kimmich had to try from a distance in the 31st minute, hit the long corner with a low shot from 20 meters – 2-0. Robert Lewandowski hit the bar in the 40th minute.
And the Fürth? The hosts became more courageous towards the end of the first half of the game and had a corner in the 45 + 1. Minute the chance to hit the next. Paul Seguin did not bring the ball on goal after a corner extended by Havard Nielsen.
The second round started with a bang. Julian Green had stormed the Bayern goal alone in the 48th minute, Pavard struck down the Fürth offensive player from behind. Referee Robert Schröder was left with no choice, he showed the French red. The subsequent free kick by Branimir Hrgota landed in the arms of Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
The outsider could not do much with the numerical superiority, the Bavarians remained more dangerous. Lewandowski came undisturbed to the conclusion in the 58th minute, but met Fürth keeper Sascha Burchert. Ten minutes later the ball was in the bottom of the table for the third time. Fürth defender Griesbeck spitzelt the ball into his own goal in a duel with the goalgetter – 3-0 (68th).
Opportunities for the hosts to counteract Griesbeck (74th) or Itten (83rd) were unsuccessful before the Swiss international scored the 1: 3 consolation goal in the 87th minute.
