The relegated from Lower Austria celebrated the third victory in a row. The FAC defeated the bottom of the league, Steyr.
Austria Lustenau is marching steadfastly towards promotion in the second football league. On Friday, the leaders of the table shot down stragglers Kapfenberg 6-0 (5-0) at home and are still six points ahead of Liefering. It wasn't the only peat festival that evening, though. Even the badly started Bundesliga relegation St. Pölten delivered a spectacle at home 6: 1- (3: 0) over the GAK and advanced to tenth place with the third “three in a row”.
The outstanding man for Austria Lustenau was the Swiss Haris Tabakovic, who with a triple pack (14./Elfer, 22., 30.) within a quarter of an hour and now 16 hits in eleven games further extended the lone lead in the scorers list. Jean Hugonet (11th), Bryan Silva Teixeira (17th) and Brandon Baiye (64th) also netted for the home side, who have ten wins, seven of them in a row, and with a wide chest in the top game against Blau-Weiß Linz next Friday can go.
Interruption at the FAC place
Meanwhile, St. Pölten continued its upward trend impressively. Daniel Schütz (11th), Kresimir Kovacevic (22nd) and a “third-party contribution” from GAK man Benjamin Rosenberger (35th) meant the preliminary decision for Stephan Helm's team. Double packer George Davies (57th, 66th / penalty) and Ulysses Llanez (70th) increased significantly after the break. The Lower Austrians scored 13 goals in their last three games. Daniel Kalajdzic, younger brother of ÖFB team striker Sasa Kalajdzic, scored the consolation goal for Graz (81st), who threaten to slip into the middle of the table.
In any case, the FAC temporarily pushed the Styrians from fourth place. Joao Oliveira (21st) and Flavio (64th) ensured a 2-0 (1-0) home win over the beaten bottom Steyr. The game was interrupted for around half an hour in the 72nd minute because a rescue helicopter had to land on the FAC site due to a medical emergency.
In the fourth Friday game, Roko Simic (61st) and Nene Dorgeles (81st) gave FC Liefering, who claimed second place, a 2-0 win against Juniors OÖ. On Sunday (10.30 a.m.) against the Young Violets, Blau-Weiß Linz has the opportunity to get to Liefering up to one point. The duels Lafnitz-Dornbirn, Rapid II-Wacker Innsbruck and Horn-Amstetten (all 2.30 p.m.) are already on the program on Saturday.
