2nd division: FAC separates from head coach Roman Ellensohn

The Floridsdorfer Athletiksport-Club announces the immediate release of head coach Roman Ellensohn. The 38-year-old from Vorarlberg had been in office since the beginning of February. “The management of the Vienna second division is reacting to the lack of sporting development in the spring of 2021,” said a broadcast by the Floridsdorfer.

FAC Managing Director Christian Kirchengast: “We did not make this decision easy for us because we were convinced of Roman's technical know-how and his personal approach from the start. Unfortunately, the latest developments have forced us to make a change in order to bring about a sporty U-turn. As a result of this, we have now come to the decision to release Roman from his position as head coach. Nevertheless, we would like to thank him for his dedication and commitment and wish him all the best on the further path of his coaching career. “

Until further notice, the two co-coaches Mitja Mörec and Aleksandar Gitsov will take over as interim coaching duo and will look after the team together on the sidelines for tomorrow's championship game at FC Juniors OÖ for the first time.
