2022 Olympic medal standings: Norway strengthens leadership position

Following the results of the 11th day of the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing, Norway continues to hold the leading position in the medal standings.

On Wednesday at the 2022 Olympics, eight more sets of awards were played in five sports: biathlon, alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, freestyle and short track.

The first place in the ranking continues to be occupied by Norway. Athletes from this country have already won 13 gold, seven silver and eight bronze medals. The second is Germany, which has ten gold, six silver and four bronze medals.

For the third day, the top three is closed by the United States. The Americans have risen to the highest step of the podium eight times. They also have six silver and four bronze medals.

China is fourth with seven gold, four silver and two bronze medals. And fifth place is occupied by Austria. The Olympians of this country took six gold, seven silver and four bronze medals.

In the medal standings, according to the results of Wednesday, Ukraine also appeared. Thanks to Alexander Abramenko's silver, our Olympic team is in 23rd position.

On February 15, the winners of seven more sets of medals for the 2022 Winter Games will be determined. The Beijing Olympics will run from 4 to 20 February 2022.

From Ukraine, 45 athletes participate in these Games in 12 disciplines. This is a record number of sports at the Winter Olympics for our country. For all days of the 2022 Olympics, 109 awards in 15 sports should be played.
