After the fifth competitive day, the leadership in the medal standings was taken by the German team. Representatives of this country won five gold awards and three silver medals. Norway moved up to second place. She has four golds, two silvers and four bronzes.

The top three is closed by Sweden, which was in the lead for two days in a row in the standings. The Swedes won four gold medals, one silver and two bronze.

The Netherlands is in fourth place. The Olympians of this country won three golds, three silvers and one bronze. The top five is closed by China, whose athletes won three golds and two silvers.

Ukraine did not win any awards on the results of the fifth day of the competition.

The streets of Beijing, despite the Olympics, remain empty. Journalists and athletes work in a closed perimeter.

The Beijing Olympics began on February 4 and will run until February 20. At these Games, 45 athletes from Ukraine participate in 12 disciplines – a record number of sports at the Winter Olympics for our country.

In general, during the 2022 Olympics, 109 sets of awards in 15 sports will be played.

This year, Saudi Arabia and Haiti will participate in the Games for the first time.
