Roscosmos General Director Dmitry Rogozin said that the pressure drop in the transition chamber of the Zvezda module has nothing to do with the docking of MLM Nauka.
– The predicted and not at all “sharp” drop in pressure in the still problematic “Zvezda”. And it has nothing to do with MLM, – wrote the head of the state corporation on Twitter.
Later, the Telegram channel of Roskosmos reported that the pressure in the Zvezda module compartment, where the cracks were found, would be raised to 200 mm Hg. Art. during the day. The state corporation stressed that the work to increase the pressure is planned and not related to the multipurpose laboratory module “Science”. Roscosmos clarified that the pressure in MLM is normal.
Recall, as the website kp.ru wrote, the new module “Science”, which was launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome on July 21 and launched into orbit by the “Proton-M” launch vehicle, on July 29, moored to the “Zvezda” module of the Russian segment of the ISS. Earlier it was reported that about three hours after the docking, the Nauka's engines were switched on abnormally, which caused the station to turn 45 degrees.
