Danish police said on Saturday, January 4, that they are investigating reports of about 20 drones over the port of Køge, southwest of Copenhagen.
Regional police told Danish Radio that when their officers arrived at the scene on Friday evening, they were able to see four large drones over the Køge harbour.
Police were called to the scene by a witness who claimed to have seen about 20 drones, which then disappeared at high speed into the bay Kege.
Police said they were trying to establish the total number of drones and their owners, as no permit had been issued for drone flights in the area at the time of their appearance.
Police are also investigating other drone sightings amid security concerns over Russian hybrid attacks detected in some European countries and Moscow's full-scale war against Ukraine.
