In the UK, law enforcement officials have announced one of the largest cocaine seizures in history, with 2.4 tonnes of cocaine, worth an estimated £96 million.
The contraband was hidden under containers on a ship that had called at one of the ports, Channel 24 reported, citing SkyNews.

The drugs were found under the cargo of containers on a ship that arrived from Panama in the Thames estuary. British authorities had tracked the shipment in advance and detained it after the ship arrived in the country.
This is the sixth seizure of this scale in the UK's history, border officials say. The drugs are valued at £96 million.
In addition, another batch of illegal cargo was detained at the port of Dover: 170 kilograms of ketamine, about 4,000 ecstasy tablets and 20 firearms.
