Throughout the night of March 9, the Russian aggressor terrorized Ukraine. However, our air defense forces fought back the enemy and shot down many missiles and drones.
In total, our air defense destroyed 19 air targets. This was announced by the head of the Joint Press Center of the Security and Defense Forces of the South, Natalya Gumenyuk, on the air of the national telethon, Channel 24 informs.
What is known about the destruction of missiles in the South
According to Gumenyuk, the enemy distributed the missiles into two waves, and also tried to divert the Ukrainian air defense. The invaders launched Kh-22, Kh-101, Kh-59 and Caliber missiles aimed at critical infrastructure facilities.
So, 9 missiles were shot down over the Nikolaev region, over the Odessa region – they destroyed 6 missiles and one drone. Also, 2 missiles were eliminated over the Kherson region.
