Ukrainian athlete Daniil Konovalov won gold at the World Junior Diving Championships, having conquered a three-meter springboard.
The Junior World Championship was held in Kiev. Konovalov shared the first place with an athlete from Brazil.
Juniors – jumping from a three-meter springboard
- Daniil Konovalov (Ukraine) – 532.60;
- Cavan Figueiredo Pereira (Brazil) – 532.60;
- Leonardo Garcia Varela (Colombia) – 521.95.
Ukrainian Ksenia Bailo took third place at these competitions. She won bronze by jumping from a one-meter springboard.
Girls (older) – one meter springboard
- Johanna Krauss (Germany) – 341.95;
- Eliza Pizzini (Italy) – 339.20;

Ukraine has not had a new world champion in diving among juniors for almost 15 years. In 2006, Ukrainian sportswoman Maria Voloschenko won gold.
