18-year-old Russian chess player Andrei Esipenko won the bronze medal at the supertournament in Wijk aan Zee, Holland. The results are available on the organizer's website.
Esipenko overtook the world champion, Norwegian Magnus Carlsen, who took sixth place. The Russian scored eight points. The winner of the tournament was the Dutchman Jorden van Forest, who defeated his compatriot Anish Giri in the final game. Both players scored 8.5 points each.
