The aggressor country Russia used 97 of its battalion-tactical groups in Ukraine. Of these, the Ukrainian army completely destroyed 15, and another 18 lost their combat effectiveness.
Aleksei Arestovich, Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, spoke about this today during a conversation with reporters, answering the question of whether there are indicators that the Russian Federation is withdrawing troops.
According to him, at the beginning of a full-scale invasion, the enemy attacked in six directions, and now in three. That is, the forces of Putin's troops are depleted.
– As for the withdrawal of Russian troops, they do not withdraw. But they had six operating lines, and now only three. And this shows that they are exhausting their forces. Of the 10 Russian armies, only two remained as operational-strategic formations in the Russian Federation, and & # 8220; inviolable & # 8221; – only one. Even from the second remaining in the Russian Federation, troops are already being taken away and thrown here.
They used a total of 97 battalion tactical groups here, which is more than 130 thousand combat personnel. There is also a rear staff, in total the grouping is almost 200 thousand people. Of these, 15 (battalion tactical groups – Ed.) were completely destroyed, maybe more, these are data as of two days ago. And 18 are not combat-ready,” Arestovich noted.
He clarified that Russian battalion tactical groups, which were completely destroyed, lost more than 90% of their equipment and military personnel. And the non-combat-ready ones lost more than 60% of their equipment and combat strength.
Arestovich added that about 60 more Russian battalion-tactical groups “are connected by battles” on the territory of Ukraine. At the same time, about 10 are in reserve: the Russian command is transferring them to those areas that seem to him “more promising”. We are talking about the JFO zone, Mariupol, Kherson.
Arestovich recalled that the Russian invaders are trying to bomb residential areas in the settlements of Ukraine. According to him, on average, one out of four missiles is shot down by Ukrainian air defense, one hits a target determined by the enemy, the rest hit civilian targets.
Arestovich stressed that the residential areas of Kharkov, Mariupol, Akhtyrka, Chernihiv, Sumy the enemy bombarded deliberately. At the same time, more than 90% of the housing stock in Mariupol was damaged.
– As for Kyiv, I can't say yet that they deliberately hit civilian targets. They mainly hit military targets, but there were many misses, and they hit civilian houses nearby, & #8212; he said.
In the western and central regions of Ukraine, the enemy mainly attacked airfields.
Arestovich also informed that the Russian army resorted to massive destruction of civilians in settlements Ukraine. We are talking about mass executions, robberies, rapes.
